mike was born a drummer, a gifted musician who can make the most complicated rhythms sound easy and yet play the simplest of rhythms with newfound power and authority. mike's achievements include; 1989 winner of the budweiser battle of the bands - central texas division as drummer for the john cleghorn band; performed with the group "the kangs", showcasing with many major rock acts; jazz soloist of the year at the uta jazz festival; musician of the year - bryan adams high school. mike is an accomplished studio session musician (chances are you've heard his percussion work on a variety of commercials and jingles!). above all, mike understands junk poets and provides the backbone of the band!
