Hailing from Fort Worth, Texas comes Soviet Space. Combining the heart-felt expression of post-punk rock with the raw emotion of classic Rock and Roll their  sound is truly their own.  Formed in the spring of 2000, Noah Garcia (guitar/vocals) and Jordan Richardson (drums/vocals) came together with John Southard (guitar/vocals) and Jim Keith (bass/keys/vocals) and immediately gelled to form the sound of Soviet Space. Turning a lonely rehearsal space south of Fort Worth into a creative haven, the boys began writing material in late May of Y2K and have since hit the scene in North Texas.  Their first EP entitled Go Faster. (Stay Yellow) was released independently in December of 2000 and has received rave reviews from local (Fort Worth weekly and Dallas Observer), indie(The Harder Beat and Surreal), and national press. They put on many blistering live performances all around Texas and are planning to take their show on the road soon. Soviet Space not only records well but also feverishly excites the crowd at every show. Influenced by the sounds of The Get up Kids, Jimmy Eat World, The Promise Ring, and Led Zeppelin - Soviet Space wants to bring good sounds to good people, stay true to the music, and simply just rock out. Throw up your metal signs, take your shoes off and look out for Soviet Space.
 
 

What Noah Plays: A Fender Stratocaster (American) with a Seymor Duncan "Invader" pickup.  He runs it through a Crate 900X Excalliber head (soon to be Mesa Boogie Rectifier) and an Ampeg slant-cabinet.  He also uses a DOD processor.  He is a Cancer, enjoys long walks on the beach, candle-light dinners, going to art exhibits, and independent plays.
