this week on truly a dark note. Our
hearts, thoughts, and prayers go out to the families and friends
of those affected by the tragedies that
struck our nation Tuesday September 11, 2001. Please keep our nation

Greetings from Soviet Space! Now that school is out for the summer we are focusing entirely on rock and are planning on recording a full length album, tentatively titled Not That You Would. But You Could. the second week of July with Casey Diiorio from Valve. This album will feature lots of new songs as well as some old favorites from Go Faster. [Stay Yellow]. Not only has Soviet Space been nominated for Best New Artist in the Fort Worth Weekly Music Awards, but we are playing at the FW Weekly Music Awards Showcase on Sunday May 20th at the Ridglea Theater, so everyone come out! If you voted then you should receive a ticket to the show. If you haven't voted, you only have till May 20th so exercise your right to vote soon! Thanks to all of you who have voted for us and continue to do so on Farmclub.com, and to all of you who call in to request us on KTCU. Keep up the good work! April 2001: Soviet Space wins Battle of The Bands!!!!
Greetings from Soviet Space. Well, it certainly has been a busy March - and it looks to be a busy next
couple of Months! We have a lot of great shows coming up. In fact we are playing with Deep Elm Records and
Dallas' on Slowride Thursday April 5! We are also starting to get the ball running on our summer tour.
We are planning to visit El Paso, Arizona, and Los Angeles - if you have any friends in these cities let
us know and we will drop them a line. Thanks to everyone who came out to support us with
Valve (those guys are very nice and they rock hard) at The Aardvark. Also, thanks to all of our TCU fans that
helped us win the Battle of the Bands. That was very big and we appreciate all of the support!! We are
going to record with the money, so we are planning our next record.
Be sure to kick a shout out to Matt, our new Promotions and Merch. Guy at the shows, he is really
helping us out a ton! He has finally set up a band email account, so use it! Send Your email addresses
and we will start the e-mailing list! It is sovietspace@yahoo.com

The Boys from Soviet Space
March 2001: Greetings from Soviet Space. Well, if you have been checking the site you can tell we are
preparing for a couple of busy months. We would love the support. Come out to all of the shows. We could
possibly have some Label Reps. scouting us at any number of shows - so we need as many people there as
possible. Also, if anyone is down for ditching school and going on a road trip (since we endorse those types
of things) Soviet Space is playing at Emo's on 6th street in Austin. The show is on Tuesday March 27. We
are also playing with a great Dallas band called Valve on March 16 at the Aardvark. Come show support at The
TCU Battle Of the Bands on Saturday March 31. We want to show TCU what Rock is! Our biggest show to date is
on Saturday April 28. That is The CD release party for The First Street Audio Compilation, which we will have
available soon also. Email us if you have any questions about any of our shows.
In other news, we are already planning to head back into the studio later in the spring to record a follow
up to Go Faster... Never fear, we will still keep making Go Faster. (Stay Yellow). We are just getting
restless. There are also tentative plans for a tour this summer, so get in your old VW Bus and hit the
road with us. We think we will head west through New Mexico, Arizona, and Southern California. Finally,
Keep on calling Josh on Sunday nights to hear Soviet Space. Also, go vote for us on amIhot.com under the
